The Medium-Capacity Feed Pellet Line
The medium-capacity feed pellet line is a complete feed processing system developed for domestic and international poultry and livestock farmers, farm owners, and feed manufacturers. It enables the production of complete compound feed meeting the nutritional requirements of animals such as chickens, ducks, and pigs.
● Ideal For: Regional breeding cooperatives and medium-sized feed mills serving local farm networks.
● Core Function: High-efficiency processing of corn, grains, and additives to produce large batches of multi-species feed pellets (poultry, livestock, cattle, and sheep).
● Primary Goal: To enable "bulk production with cost control," meeting the feed demands of an entire region without the complexity of large-scale industrial production lines.

Optimized Production Process

I. Raw Material Pre-processing Stage
- Raw Material Receiving and Impurity Removal: Purchased or self-produced raw materials (such as straw, corn meal, mineral powder, organic fertilizer ingredients) are conveyed via belt conveyors into the production line. They first pass through vibrating screens and magnetic separators to remove impurities.
- Batching and Mixing: Based on product formulations, materials are extracted proportionally from different storage bins via quantitative feeders. Example feed formula: Corn Meal 60% + Soybean Meal 20% + Additives 5%.
- Drying Treatment: If raw material moisture exceeds specifications, it is first sent to a drum dryer to remove excess moisture. If moisture is too low, a spray device can be used to add water as needed.
II. Core Pelletizing and Forming Stage
- Pelletizing Process: Feed or biomass pellets are produced using ring die pellet mills. Organic fertilizer or compound fertilizer pellets are produced using flat die pellet mills.
- Pellet Pre-screening: Freshly formed pellets pass through a small vibrating screen to separate out minor powder and substandard pellets.
III. Post-Processing Stage
- Cooling Process: Formed pellets reach temperatures of 60-80°C with high moisture content, requiring cooling to prevent mold growth and spoilage.
IV. Storage and Packaging Stage
- Temporary Storage: Qualified finished pellets are conveyed to the finished product silo for temporary storage pending packaging.
- Quantitative Packaging: Activate the quantitative packaging scale to automatically weigh and bag products according to customer specifications. Bags are sealed by a sewing machine, labeled, and transferred to the finished goods warehouse for stacking.
- Warehousing and Dispatch: The finished goods warehouse must remain dry and well-ventilated with effective moisture prevention measures. Forklifts load products onto trucks per order specifications for shipment to customers.

FAQ
Q: What is the typical ROI (Return on Investment) period for a medium-capacity line like this?
A: Based on our case studies and client feedback, most medium-scale operations achieve a full return on investment within 6-12 months. The exact timeframe depends on your local raw material costs, energy prices, and production volume.
Q: How long does it take to switch between producing poultry feed and cattle feed?
A: Our lines are designed for efficient changeover. Switching between similar pellet sizes (e.g., 4mm poultry to 6mm cattle) can take as little as 30-45 minutes, including minor adjustments and cleaning. A switch requiring a full ring die change may take 2-3 hours.
Q: Can this production line handle high-fiber or other challenging raw materials?
A: Absolutely. The STWHL720-2 model, in particular, is engineered for robust forage and fiber processing. For the grain line (STJH350), we can customize the die compression ratio and recommend preconditioning settings to efficiently handle various recipes, including those with higher fiber content.
Q: What are the payment terms and delivery time?
A: Our standard payment terms are 30% T/T deposit, 70% before shipment. Delivery time is typically 30-45 days after order confirmation, depending on the specific customization of your line. We offer FOB and CIF shipping options to major global ports.
